Comanche Lookout Park - December 2014
There's a public library in San Antonio that has a nature trail behind it called Comanche Lookout Park behind it, which contains sporadic clusters of floral and scenic sights. Landscapes are covered by dense shrubbery and trees, so there's no great landscapes that I'm willing to take in, but the unique plants and lichen always beckons me veer off the trail for some macro shots.
The Trail
Most of the trail is pavement, but there are a few harsh and natural pathways that won’t hesitate to trip you up:
The Plants
The main attraction of this area is the trail itself, but hiding right next to the joggers’ feet are wonderful microcosms of moss, isolated flowers, little tomatoes, and my absolute favorite flora, lichen, which I managed to capture one of my favorite photos, as seen in the last picture:
These photos were captured with my NOKIA LUMIA 520 smartphone, which stunned me with its unique little sensor. My brother also had the same phone model as me, and he took some interesting photos while we strolled along the trails. Unfortunately, he went overkill with the filters and made some odd edits to his photos (literal psychedelic colors), so I'm not going to advertise his work at the moment.
