LEGO HORNET - Attack Hovercraft
Built as a versatile air-to-ground support vehicle, this hovercraft is equipped with powerful thrusters and an array of antipersonnel weapons. With its unique thruster design, the Hornet can scale virtually any terrain with great speed and maneuverability. The Hornet is also equipped with two rotational turrets, twin heavy laser cannons, and a concussive missile launcher.
Built as a lighter version of a prototype transport-class hovercraft, the Hornet is designed to scale difficult and harsh terrain to provide squad/personnel support.
Piloted by a skilled flyer, the Hornet needs to be flown gracefully with the additional turrets that are operated by gunners. If the pilot is too wild when operating the hovercraft, the gunners will be ineffective.
To compensate the agile and quick design, most of the Hornet is lightly armored and exposed to most ground forces.
However, the highly mobile turrets and the hovering ability allows the Hornet to strafe in an orbit around enemies while attacking three different targets simultaneously.
In addition to the pilot's laser cannons and the side turrets, the Hornet gets its titular name from the powerful concussive missile on its underside, which causes a large area of effect on ground forces.
And last, but certainly not least, is the advance thrusters that allows the Hornet to perform its missions. In reality, the engines are more powerful than the vehicle requires, but this allows it to outperform any other hovercraft in its class.
