LEGO Mini Ranch
A few months ago, my brother built a little farm with multi-colored fenceposts, to which I built an add-on garden with several veggies. After a while, I decided to merge the two into one cohesive design.
The LEGO Farm is equipped with animal pens, a garden, and a wooden archway with its own Texas cattle skull (which died of natural causes, of course).
The entryway to the Farm is a large wooden arch, which has a perch for owls (my brother's idea), several kerosene lamps, and a cattle skull:
My dad also has his own garden in his backyard, which grows zucchini like weeds. For this LEGO Farm, the garden has carrots, berries, a delicious vine, and an apple tree. A frog also inhabits the garden and eats any harmful beetles:
No farm is complete without having its own horse! This fenced off area (which is totally a representation of the wide open fields in which a horse would actually inhabit, but scaled for convenience) houses my mother's horse, which came from a princess LEGO set. The horse stable has its own gate, even though the horse could easily jump the fence, but chooses not to:
And last, but not least, is the pig pen, laced with mud and whatnot. But to keep your farm clean and tidy, you'll have to use some good ol' manual labor and muck the ground with this well-placed shovel:
